Show Me Your Jewelry Box is an affordable first look at your vintage, antique, inherited, or mystery jewelry. Send me clear photographs of up to 30 pieces, and I’ll use my experience handling and researching thousands of pieces of vintage and antique jewelry to identify the items that catch my attention.
You may submit up to 5 photographs, each under 10 MB. For the best evaluation, spread your jewelry out on a flat surface in good, natural lighting with as little overlap as possible so I can clearly see each piece.
After your purchase, you’ll receive a link to the photo submission form on your order confirmation page. The link will also be included in your order confirmation email, so you can come back and submit your photos when you’re ready.
You’ll receive a personalized PDF report with an annotated photograph highlighting pieces I believe may deserve a closer look, along with my initial observations about things such as approximate age, style, materials, construction, makers, or historical interest where possible.
I may also include notes or questions that can help you investigate a piece further yourself—for example, where to look for a hallmark or what details may help identify its origin.

This service is designed as a first-look evaluation, not a formal appraisal, authentication, or comprehensive identification of every piece submitted. My observations are based solely on what can reasonably be seen in the photographs provided. Precious metals, gemstones, and other materials cannot be definitively confirmed through photographs alone.
Pieces that are not highlighted in your report are generally pieces that, based on what I can see, appear contemporary or have limited vintage or antique historical interest. This does not necessarily mean they are not made from precious metals or gemstones, are without monetary value, or do not have significant sentimental value.

Hi, I’m Lily, the person behind Elm Jewelry Archive. I live in Southeastern Wisconsin, and I’ve always loved antiques, history, and the stories behind the things people have saved over the years. My particular passion is vintage and estate jewelry, and I have experience researching, identifying, buying, and selling both vintage costume and fine jewelry.
Antique and vintage jewelry is my passion —it’s not my day job. I especially enjoy the research: figuring out when a piece was made, who may have made it, what it’s made from, and what makes it interesting.
I also love helping people understand the jewelry they already have. Family jewelry can easily end up tucked away in a box simply because no one knows what it is or whether it’s worth keeping. My goal is to help identify those pieces and their stories so that your family’s treasures aren’t forgotten, overlooked, or accidentally discarded.
Not every old piece is valuable, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t interesting or worth understanding. Sometimes the history and story behind a piece are the best part.
